Who we are

Garnet & Gold is a student-run musical theatre society at Mount Allison University, dedicated to creating collaborative, community-driven musical theatre. Each year, students from across campus come together to produce a full musical production, working across performance, music, design, technical theatre, stage management, and production support. Our work is rooted in collaboration, shared creativity, and a deep appreciation for the many people who make theatre possible both on and off the stage.

Every January, Garnet & Gold presents its annual musical in Convocation Hall, transforming the space into a hub of student creativity and community gathering. This year’s production runs from January 22–24, featuring four public performances as well as a student matinee, ensuring that both the campus and wider community have opportunities to experience live theatre.

Our 2025 production is The Little Mermaid, a show selected collectively by our members. We are incredibly excited to bring this story to life and to share the result of months of dedication, collaboration, and care with our audiences. We cannot wait to welcome you to Convocation Hall and celebrate another year of student-led musical theatre.
